Freedom House is a non-partisan non-profit organization committed to democracy and freedom around the world. Since 1972, Freedom House has rated countries on political rights and civil liberties.
This evaluation includes measures of press freedom. Based on these measures, a composite score is developed and the press in countries is categorized as free, partially free or not free.
